By accessing our website or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

2. Services Offered

C2U Shipping provides courier and logistics services islandwide within Jamaica and internationally, subject to availability and applicable laws.

Services include:

  • Air Freight – International shipment of goods by air

  • Sea Freight – International shipment of goods by sea

  • Drop-Off Service – Customer drop-off at a designated C2U Shipping location

  • Mobile Delivery – Pickup and/or delivery to a customer-specified address

All services are subject to customs inspection, clearance, and regulatory approval.

3. Estimated Delivery Timeframes

All delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

  • Air Freight: 3–7 business days after customs clearance

  • Sea Freight: 3–6 weeks after vessel departure

  • Local Mobile Delivery: 1–3 business days

  • Drop-Off Processing: 1–2 business days

C2U Shipping shall not be liable for delays caused by customs authorities, government agencies, weather conditions, port congestion, incomplete documentation, or events beyond our control.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 Packaging

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that shipments are:

  • Properly packaged

  • Securely sealed

  • Suitable for transport

C2U Shipping shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from inadequate or improper packaging.

4.2 Documentation

Customers must provide accurate and complete shipping and customs documentation. Any false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in delays, penalties, seizure, or refusal of service without liability on the part of the Company.

4.3 Compliance

Customers are responsible for ensuring shipments comply with all applicable Jamaican and international laws and regulations.

5. Our Responsibilities

C2U Shipping will:

  • Exercise reasonable care in handling shipments

  • Use industry-standard courier and logistics practices

  • Make reasonable efforts to communicate known delays

We do not guarantee delivery dates or times and do not accept responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

6. Pricing and Payment

6.1 Pricing Structure

Shipping charges are calculated based on:

  • Actual weight or dimensional (volumetric) weight, whichever is greater

  • Service type and destination

6.2 Additional Charges

Additional fees may include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing fees

  • Service charges

  • Handling fees

  • Customs duties and taxes

  • Storage fees

All additional charges are payable by the customer.

6.3 Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Bank Transfer

  • Cash

  • Online Payment

All payments must be made in Jamaican Dollars (JMD). No other currency is accepted.

Full payment is required before shipment release or delivery.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Jamaican law, C2U Shipping’s liability for loss or damage is limited to the lower of:

  • JMD $10,000, or

  • The declared value of the shipment

7.2 Exclusions

C2U Shipping shall not be liable for:

  • Delays caused by customs, inspections, or government authorities

  • Loss or damage to fragile, perishable, or prohibited items

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

7.3 Claims Process

All claims must:

  • Be submitted in writing within seven (7) days of delivery

  • Include proof of value and supporting evidence

Claims submitted outside this period may be rejected.

8. Prohibited Items

C2U Shipping strictly does not accept the shipment of:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit or replica goods

  • Pornographic or obscene materials

  • Perishable foods

  • Live animals

  • Cash, cheques, or negotiable instruments

These restrictions comply with the Jamaican Customs Act, Dangerous Goods legislation, and related regulations.

9. Delivery and Storage Terms

9.1 Delivery Attempts

C2U Shipping will make up to three (3) delivery attempts to the address provided by the customer.

If delivery is unsuccessful after three (3) attempts due to:

  • Customer unavailability

  • Incorrect or incomplete address

  • Failure to respond to delivery notifications

The package will be returned to the C2U Shipping depot.

Redelivery, additional delivery attempts, or storage may incur additional charges, payable before release.

9.2 Storage Fees

Shipments uncollected after seven (7) business days at the depot may incur storage fees.

Shipments unclaimed after thirty (30) days may be disposed of or sold to recover costs, in accordance with Jamaican law.

10. Force Majeure

C2U Shipping shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather or natural disasters

  • Customs or port delays

  • Government actions or restrictions

  • Strikes or transportation disruptions

11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

11.1 Complaints

Customers must submit complaints in writing to:

11.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, including the Consumer Protection Act and Customs Act.

The courts of Jamaica shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Customer information is collected solely for service delivery, legal compliance, and internal records.

C2U Shipping complies with the Jamaican Data Protection Act and does not sell or disclose personal data except where legally required.

13. Changes to These Terms

C2U Shipping reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

Updated Terms will be posted on this website and take effect immediately upon publication.

14. Termination of Service

C2U Shipping may suspend or terminate services or accounts if:

  • These Terms are breached

  • Payment obligations are not met

  • Illegal or fraudulent activity is suspected

Customers may request account closure in writing.

15. Refund Policy

15.1 Eligibility

Refunds may be considered where:

  • A service was not rendered, or

  • A shipment was cancelled before processing

15.2 Non-Refundable Fees

Processing, handling, customs, and service fees are non-refundable.

15.3 Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days using the original payment method.

16. Legal Disclaimer

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights granted under Jamaican law. Liability is not excluded where exclusion is unlawful.
